About Me

Mariana Melendrez is a photographer, retoucher and self-portrait artist. She first discovered the world of photography at the age of 14 and was captivated by the drama and intrigue of editorial fashion photography. She quickly fell in love with the enchanting world of haute couture fashion and decided to pursue her goal of being a part of it.

Music, art, and cinema have been heavy influences as Mariana’s sources of inspiration throughout her life. In recent years the path of her work has been changing dynamically with self-portraits that entice the viewer with eye-catching, vivid colors and fascinating perspectives with a subtle editorial touch.

After graduating college she felt the natural transition of exploring other realms in photographic work such as landscapes, beauty photography, advertising photography for commercial clients and professional retouching work.

Mariana currently resides in the heart of the Imperial Valley desert and regularly travels for assignments between Imperial Valley and San Diego.
